Marco Bartoli was born in Spoleto (Italy) in 1984. He graduated, with highest honors, from the F.MorlacchiConservatory of Perugia, Italy in 2006, where he was supervised by Leonardo De Angelis.In 2007, he performed five concerts in the Tarragona province of Spain (Pradel de la Teixete, Torredenbarre,Sant Carles de la Rapita, Les Borges Blanques, Argentera) where he played, alongside the GabrieleFrancioli Sax Quartet, an adaptation of the famed Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez.In 2008, he won the Leandro Roscini Prize for best musician in Italy’s Umbria Region. He then performedwith the Menna String Quartet, playing the M. Castelnuovo-Tedesco and L.Boccherini Quintets duringPerugia’s Amici Della Musica concert season (2009/2010) at the Sala dei Notari.Marco pursued postgraduate studies at the Musik Akademie der Stadt-Basel (Switzerland) with ProfessorStephan Schmidt. As of 2012, he now holds Master’s degrees in both Music Performance and InstrumentalDidactics. During his studies, he attended several Masterclasses where he was influenced by such guitaristsof international fame as: Leo Brouwer, Pablo Marquez, Aniello Desiderio, Pavel Stedl, Roberto Aussel, andMarcin Dylla.Marco has won several prizes in national and international guitar competitions, including the Tim andHyperion competitions in Rome, the F.Jalenti competition in Terni, and the G.Rospigliosi competition inPistoia. He has also won scholarships in the form of the Luigi Castellani and Marcello Cricchi Prizes.He has been invited to perform regularly around Europe. He focuses his activity mainly on solo guitar and onchamber music in various ensembles, which include: the Orchestra del Teatro Lirico Sperimentale “A.Belli”,the Orchestra Sinfonica del Tuscia Operafestival, the Gabriele Francioli Sax Quartet, the Menna Quartet, theflautist Maruta Staravoitava, the cellist Alessio Pianelli, the singer Lena Kiepenheuer, and the guitaristSalvatore Foderà (Basel guitar duo), among others.He is currently classical guitar teacher at the Musikschule Allschwil (BL), Switzerland.He plays a Matthias Dammann’s guitar.


Salvatore Foderà was born in Naples (Italy) in 1983. After studying at the Conservatory Antonio Scontrino inTrapani (Sicily), he moved to Parma where he received his guitar Bachelor in 2005 and graduated inPhilosophy in 2008.His musical studies continued at the Accademia Internazionale Tema with Lorenzo Micheli and Matteo Melain Milan. In those years, he also attended masterclasses of international acclaimed guitarists such as OdairAssad, Pavel Steidl and Fabio Zanon.In 2007 the Faculty of Music at University of Toronto (Canada) offered him the opportunity to continue hisguitar Master-studies; in the same year he moved to Switzerland to join the class of Argentinian guitaristPablo Márquez. Salvatore Foderà received the Masters in Music Performance and completed his studieswith the Masters in Music Pedagogy with highest honours at the prestigious Musik -Akademie in Basel(Switzerland) in 2011.Already as a very young guitarist, he performed for many international music foundations and festivals suchas Estri Armonici in Parma, Festival Mediterraneo della Chitarra in Cervo, Piediluco in Musica in Terni,Saigon International Guitar Festival in Ho Chi Minh City, Royal University of Fine Arts in Phnom Penh,Thailand Guitar Society in Bangkok, Istituto Alemán de Valdivia etc. Both as a soloist and in chamber musicensemble he has given concerts in more than ten countries of Europe, Asia and South America.Since 2010 he has intensely been teaching at the Musikschule Muttenz in Basel (Switzerland) and at guitarworkshops in different countries.He plays a Gabriele Lodi’s guitar.
