ZUCCHERO TO HELSINKI IN SEPTEMBER
One of the world´s best known Italian artists, Zucchero, is coming to Finland for the first time in 18 years. Zucchero released his new album “Black Cat” last year, and will perform in Helsinki, Tavastia on Septeber 8th.
Zucchero has sold over 60 million albums during his three-decade career. Zucchero, who is equipped with charismatic singing voice, enjoys also wide international success and has worked for example with Eric Clapton, Miles Davis, Ray Charles, B.B. King, Sting, Bono, Jeff Beck and Andrea Bocelli. He has been nominated for a Grammy, has won twice at World Music Awards and has succeeded in numerous other awards in Italy. One of Zucchero’s international hit songs is “Senza una donna (Without a Woman)”, which he recorded as a duet in 1991 with Paul Young – who will come to Finland this spring.
Elvis Costello has written the single “Turn the World Down” from the latest album “Black Cat”. Lyrics to “Streets Of Surrender (S.O.S)” have been written by Bono. Mark Knopfler plays guitar in “Streets Of Surrender (S.O.S), as well as in “Ci Ci Arrende”. “Black Cat” is Zucchero´s 12th studio album.
