Davide Mariano began his piano studies with his uncle.  He studied organ at the Conservatory of Music “Lorenzo Perosi” in Campobasso (Italy) in the class of Francesco Di Lernia.  He received a diploma in organ (2007) and later graduated from the organ-soloist class with distinction.  Since 2009 he has studied organ in the class of Martin Haselböck (final Master’s Exam in the Winter Semester 2013) and harpsichord in the class of Gordon Murray at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna,


 


He also received organ lessons from J. Essl, M. Imbruno, and H. Haselböck, and fortepiano lessons from G. Murray. Moreover he attended master classes with W. Zerer, M. Radulescu, L. F. Tagliavini, L. Ghielmi, P. D. Peretti (organ), W. Glüxam, S. Gottfried, N. Parle, E. Fadini (harpsichord, fortepiano and basso continuo), J. Essl, H. Haselböck (organ improvisation).


 


Mr. Mariano has received awards in several music competitions including 2nd prize in piano at the “Eighth National Music Competition Città di Ortona” (Italy, 2002), 1st prize at the “Fourth International Organ Competition in Fano Adriano” (Italy, 2008), 2nd prize at the “Third International Organ Competition Premio Elvira Di Renna” in Pontecagnano Faiano (Italy, 2010), and  3rd prize (1st prize not awarded) at the “Fourth International Organ Competition Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck 2012” in Amsterdam.


 


Davide Mariano performs regularly at festivals in Italy, Austria, Holland, Slovakia, USA, Denmark, Spain, both as organ/harpsichord soloist and in diverse groups, in particular with the Orchester Wiener Akademie and Musica Angelica Los Angeles Baroque Orchestra.  He has also been heard on radio broadcasts by ORF-Ö1 and Radio Stephansdom.


 


He is one of the performers on the CD “Concerto per la Solidarietà” (2009, EUROMEETING ITALIANA) and has collaborated with the Orchester Wiener Akademie in a recording of the complete orchestral works of Franz Liszt on historic instruments on a CD entitled Franz Liszt: The Sound of Weimar, Vol. 3” (2011, NCA-New Classical Adventure).
