Francesca Vidal


 


Born in San Donà di Piave (Venice) in 1985, started playing the piano at a very early stage. She received lessons from M° Piero Rattalino at Fondazione Santa Cecilia in Portogruaro, where in 2002 she achieved the “diploma triennale di alto perfezionamento”. Subsequently she received lessons from M° Franco Scala, Boris Petrushansky and G. Valentini at Accademia Pianistica “Incontri col Maestro” in Imola. In 2002 she graduated with top marks and distinction from the Conservatorio G. Rossini in Pesaro and in 2008 she achieved the Diploma Accademico Superiore – 2nd level – at the Conservatorio G. Verdi in Milano with top marks and distinction under the supervision of M° Vincenzo Balzani.


In 2010 she finish the Konzert Diplom at the Musik-Akademie der Stadt Basel under the supervision of M° Filippo Gamba. In 2009 she has study at Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris “Alfred Cortot” under the supervision of M° Marian Rybicki, after receiving a scholarship “Comitè Albert Roussel”. Actually she studies with M° K. Bogino at the Accademia Santa Cecilia in Bergamo. She followed masterclasses with the following maestros: M° Lionel Morales, Paul Badura-Skoda, Christoph Berner, Emilia Fadini.


 


At the age of 8 Francesca Vidal won the Premio Mozart competition- Italian selection. This entitled her to perform during the final concert at the UNESCO Palace in Paris which was broadcast in all Europe by Canale 5 Television channel.


She achieved outstanding results in several national and international competitions among which are: 1st prize Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe 1999, 1st prize Concorso Taddei in 2003 (reserved to those graduated with distinction from the Conservatorio in Pesaro and Firenze), 1st prize  Internazional Competition “Paul Harris 2005” in Milano, she was a finalist at the International competition “Pecar“ in Gorizia in 2005, 1st prize at the international competition “A.GI.MUS.” in Padova in 2006. 1st prize at the VIII international competition “Valsesia Musica Juniores Premio Monterosa Kawai “ in 2007, she won the “Targa anno 2006 Dino Ciani in the world” from the Association Dino Ciani because of her excellent and ten-year running  collaboration. In 2007 she was awarded a special mention at the XVII Concorso Nazionale “Umanitaria” in Milano. Second prize at the International Piano Competition “Karl Drechsel Forderpreis” in Norimberga in 2009, 1st prize at the Piano Competition “Città di Piove di Sacco” 2009, 3rd prize at the International Piano Competition “Città di Abano Terme Fausto Zadra” in 2011, and with chamber music: 


1st prizee at the International Competition Hyperion in Ciampino (Rome), 1st prize at the International Competition “Rospigliosi” in Lamporecchio in 2014, 2nd prize at the International Competition Val Tidone 2012, and international Competition “Zinetti” in Verona.


 


She has selectd at the “Campus delle Arti 2014” to do a recording and editing at the Trafalgar Franco Bixio Musikstrasse of Rome and to hold concerts in Finland, Rome and Potenza.


 


She works widely also as a solo performer in concerts with orchestras at renowned associations such as “La società dei concerti”, Associazione ANIMATO”, Royal Accademy of Stoccolma, Sinfonica abruzzese, Settimane Musicali Dino Ciani, La triennale in Milano, Festival “Uto Ughi per Roma”, Amici della lirica di Firenze, Estate Musicali di Portogruaro, Festival della Musica di Granada, Associazione Accademia Pianistica in Imola. Her recitals take places in well-known theatres  and concert halls among which are the Verdi  in Milano (on the occasion of the 150° Chopin’s death anniversary), the Alfredo Cortot Theatre in Paris-France, the Manuel de Falla Theatre in Granada-Spain, the Concert Hall in Hamamatsu, Japan, the Grosses Saal in Basel, Switzerland, the Stora Salen of Royal College (Stoccolma), the Palazzo della Cancelleria in Rome, the Teatro dell’Aquila, the Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Barcellona,the Sala Puccini (Conservatory of Milan), the Foundation Pierre Gianadda Martigny-Switzerland, the Accademia Filarmonica “Sala Mozart” in Bologna, and at other international musical Institutions.


She recorded for Radio Classica, Canale 5, Italia Uno.She played with Orchestra Filarmonica Mihail Jora di Bacau, Piccola Sinfonica di Milano, l’Ensamble Discovery, Orchestra Cantelli di Milano.


She teaches at the Conservatory of Reggio Emilia and she is Artistic Director of the International Piano Competition “Città di San Donà di Piave”.
